Epic Training Supervisor

TEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services, and they are seeking an experienced Epic training leader to modernize their training program. This role involves supervising a team of Training Specialists and leading the transformation of training delivery methods while ensuring curriculum quality and alignment with clinical workflows.

Information Technology

Responsibilities

Supervise, mentor and develop a team of Epic/IT Trainers, providing ongoing coaching and performance management
Evaluate team skill sets and recommend changes to optimize resource alignment
Maintain strong communication channels, lead team meetings and establish performance expectations
Re-design initial and ongoing training models for providers, nurses, ambulatory staff members and Community Connect partners
Introduce more interactive, asynchronous and workflow based learning, leveraging various tools (such as Articulate and Camtasia)
Ensure training materials and course content remain accurate, updated and aligned with the organizational standards and foundation builds
Manage Epic curriculum development, delivery, test outs and upgrade training
Support Workday based course registration and learning workflows for both internal and external learners
Participate in training evaluations and observe training sessions to assess quality and identify improvements
Support the launches of multiple Epic modules (Beaker, Cupid, Research, Gallery, Willow Ambulatory, Lumens, etc.)
Coordinate training readiness for upgrades, go-lives and new Community Connect affiliates
Lead change management efforts to shift the training culture and adopt new best practices
Partner with Clinical Education, operations, informatics, and project teams to incorporate workflows and clinical best practices into training curriculums
Participate in Epic and Workday workgroups and liaise with stakeholders (e.g., analysts, operational departments)

Required

Strong understanding of healthcare training environments
Epic certifications (multiple preferred) and TED experience
High level MST knowledge (no hands-on build experience is expected)
Experience in training development and instructional design
Experience in creating e-learnings, videos, workflows and assessments
Experience in Mitosis, Camtasia and ideally Articulate 360
Experience in supporting organizations aligned closely with Epic Foundation
Ability to evaluate, design and implement training enhancements for new modules and future initiatives

Preferred

Experience in the following Epic modules: Beaker, Cupid, Lumens, Willow Ambulatory, Research, Behavioral Health and/or Gallery
Experience in Workday learning modules
