They are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations, manage accounts receivable and payable, and oversee month-end close activities within a manufacturing CPG environment.

Responsibilities
Oversee daily AR and AP operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing
Manage cash application and resolve posting discrepancies
Review and approve customer credit memos, refunds, and adjustments
Monitor AR aging and coordinate follow-up on past-due accounts
Oversee vendor payment runs, three-way matching, and payment timing
Maintain strong vendor relationships and optimize working capital
Lead resolution of customer deductions, chargebacks, and short payments
Investigate trade promotion, pricing, damage, and compliance-related deductions
Partner with sales, customer service, and logistics to resolve disputes
Maintain documentation and approval support for write-offs
Analyze deduction trends and implement process improvements to reduce invalid claims
Serve as NetSuite subject matter expert for the accounting function
Manage AR, AP, and GL processes within NetSuite
Maintain customer and vendor records, payment terms, and promotional allowances
Create custom reports and saved searches for AR, AP, deductions, and cash flow
Train team members on NetSuite workflows and best practices
Lead monthly close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Prepare timely financial statements and management reporting
Reconcile trade spend accruals, rebates, and promotional allowances
Ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
Support external audits and internal documentation requests
Responsible for preparing R&D tax credit documentation and ensuring all tax-related materials required for company compliance are accurately compiled and maintained
Supervise and develop 1 accounting team member
Document procedures and strengthen internal controls
Identify and implement process efficiencies across AR/AP
Partner with sales operations on trade promotion planning and tracking
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong NetSuite ERP proficiency (hands-on experience required)
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
Solid understanding of revenue recognition and trade promotion accounting
5-10 years of progressive accounting experience
Manufacturing and/or CPG industry experience strongly preferred
Extensive experience managing customer deductions and chargebacks
Proven ownership of AR and AP functions, including collections and payments
Preferred
CPA or CMA preferred but not required
