Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders, product managers, and developers to understand business goals and translate them into clear, actionable requirements and user stories
Document business processes, workflows, and system interactions using Confluence or similar tools
Define acceptance criteria and ensure that business and functional requirements align with system capabilities
Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and prioritization based on business value and technical complexity
Conduct data and process analysis to identify areas for improvement or automation
Lead QA strategy and execution across multiple projects and environments
Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices based on business requirements
Coordinate manual and automated testing to ensure product stability, functionality, and performance
Manage and document testing activities within JIRA, including defect tracking, triage, and resolution
Establish QA metrics and ensure consistent quality standards across teams and releases
Collaborate with developers to identify root causes of defects and verify resolution before deployment
Configure and optimize Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) to support Agile workflows, reporting, and test management
Maintain well-structured documentation repositories for requirements, test plans, and release notes
Help define and evolve internal processes for change management, release readiness, and QA governance
Serve as the liaison between business, engineering, and QA teams to ensure alignment and visibility across the development lifecycle
Facilitate sprint ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Communicate project progress, risks, and blockers to leadership in a clear and proactive manner
Drive initiatives to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and automation readiness
Contribute to continuous improvement of requirements management and QA practices
Stay current with emerging trends in Agile delivery, QA tooling, and business analysis techniques
Qualification
Required
Strong proficiency with the Atlassian suite, including JIRA (for issue tracking and workflows) and Confluence (for documentation)
Experience defining business and functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and use cases
Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience writing and executing test plans, test cases, and regression tests
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and ceremonies
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and documentation discipline
Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, QA Lead, or similar hybrid role in software development
Proven experience with Atlassian tools and Agile software delivery
Preferred
Healthcare industry experience is highly preferred
Basic understanding of API testing (Postman, Swagger) or automation tools (Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium) is a plus
Proficiency with data validation using SQL or reporting tools is an advantage
Experience working in the healthcare, insurance, or pharmaceutical sectors is a strong plus
Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI data handling, or compliance-focused QA processes preferred
Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
