Senior Network Engineer
Talentree is a space organization headquartered in San Jose, California, seeking a Senior Network Engineer to manage and maintain their enterprise networking infrastructure. The role involves optimizing network performance, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with IT and Information Security teams to ensure a secure networking environment.

Responsibilities
Manage and maintain enterprise networking infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, including AWS and Microsoft Azure
Continuously monitor network performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and improvement
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across diverse technologies, including Cisco FTD firewalls, Meraki wireless and switching, and VPN solutions
Collaborate closely with IT and Information Security teams to monitor, manage, and report on networking assets and overall security posture
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including standards, procedures, and operational runbooks related to networking infrastructure
Manage, maintain, and support Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) environments
Qualification
Required
Strong experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Firepower eXtensible OS (FXOS)
Deep knowledge of the Meraki cloud-based management dashboard, including APs, switches, MX security appliances, and Systems Manager
In-depth understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, QoS, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, and EVPN
Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software
Solid expertise in LAN, WAN, and VLAN technologies, including network segmentation
Good understanding of network monitoring protocols and tools, such as SNMP, IPFIX, sFlow/NetFlow, and telemetry
Experience designing and supporting cloud-based networking infrastructure
In-depth knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN technologies
Demonstrated experience with cloud networking concepts and architectures
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent technical communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Strong written and verbal communication skills
BS degree in Information Technology, or a closely related discipline
7+ year relevant experience
US Citizen
Preferred
Advanced expertise in SD-WAN, LAN, WAN, and VLAN design and operations
Experience in network architecture and enterprise-scale network design
Exposure to or experience with network automation and scripting
Ability to work and learn IT functions as needed
