Vice President, Information Technology

Responsibilities
Oversees the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of IT infrastructure, networks, systems, and end-user services
Ensures availability, reliability, performance, and security of enterprise IT systems
Oversees incident, problem, change, availability, and configuration management activities
Leads the ongoing improvement of IT service delivery and customer experience
Manages and coaches IT staff, including service desk, engineering, and cybersecurity teams
Provides clear direction, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities
Supports hiring, onboarding, and staff development efforts
Contributes to IT planning, project prioritization, and resource allocation
Assists with solution design and architecture across IT, GIS, and SAS environments
Defines and communicates project milestones, timelines, and service expectations
Supports the implementation and maintenance of an IT Service Management (ITSM) framework
Establishes service level agreements (SLAs) and operational metrics
Develops key performance indicators (KPIs) and drives continuous process improvement
Identifies opportunities for automation and workflow improvements
Assists with the development and management of IT budgets in coordination with EVP
Monitors spending to ensure alignment with approved objectives
Supports vendor selection, contract management, and vendor performance reviews
Maintains effective communication with EVP, business leaders, customers, and IT staff
Provides regular updates on service performance, projects, and operational issues to EVP
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
6+ years of experience in IT operations or infrastructure roles
3+ years of experience leading or supervising technical teams
Working knowledge of enterprise technologies, including cloud networks, servers, storage, virtualization, backup and recovery, AI and data security
Experience with server administration and infrastructure support
Solid understanding of IT service delivery and operational best practices
Strong people management and coaching skills
Effective organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate solutions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality service
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience leading teams of 10+ IT professionals
Working knowledge of Federal CMMC requirements
Exposure to IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
Experience with process improvement and systems automation
Demonstrated ability to improve service quality and team performance
Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferred but not required
