Responsibilities
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance at multiple properties throughout the portfolio
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain property machines and equipment, including checking, repairing, and servicing machinery, equipment, systems, and infrastructure; diagnosing problems; replacing or repairing parts; testing; and making adjustments
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Ensure the efficiency and reliability of mechanical equipment
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
Perform HVAC maintenance, including preventive maintenance, filter change-outs, and compressor/motor replacements
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
Participate in on call responsibilities one weekend per month
Assist with snow removal
Qualification
Required
4-8+ years of experience in Commercial Maintenance Required
CFC Certification Required
Provide own basic tools and be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of tools
Valid Driver's License
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times
Preferred
Virginia HVAC Journeyman License Preferred
