Sales Manager
SoTalent is seeking an experienced and results‑driven Sales Manager to lead a field‑based sales team within a defined region or distribution channel. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, executing market strategies, and delivering performance through effective leadership and partner engagement.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the overall performance of a defined sales territory or distribution channel to achieve revenue and growth targets
Execute regional sales strategies that drive market expansion, enrollment growth, and partner engagement
Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training, engagement, and productivity of sales team members and independent partners
Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, budget parameters, and operational controls
Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, development, and performance evaluation
Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams including operations, underwriting or risk management, service teams, finance, marketing, and senior leadership
Develop and implement market‑specific sales and marketing plans aligned to business objectives
Track and analyse sales performance using qualitative and quantitative metrics across assigned geographic segments
Design and manage incentive programs to support targeted sales initiatives
Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal departments and external partners
Develop and manage departmental budgets and monitor spend against targets
Lead assigned projects and deliverables within defined timelines
Perform additional responsibilities aligned with the scope and level of the role
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Proven background in sales leadership, preferably within a regulated or compliance‑driven environment
Experience working with or managing broker or agent‑based sales models
Demonstrated supervisory or people‑management experience
Strong territory or regional sales management background preferred
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Active health insurance license required
Appropriate state‑level insurance licenses required (requirements may vary by jurisdiction)
This is a field‑based role with significant time spent in the marketplace
Regular travel within the assigned territory is required, including potential overnight stays depending on geographic coverage
