Responsibilities
Build intuition for the AIM and the Ads product. Leverage your AI expertise and data-backed insights to guide the product direction as well as formulate a technical strategy and roadmap
Drive fast-moving iterative execution while optimizing for both learning and impact. Formulate designs that help achieve trade-offs across cost, latency, quality, etc
Work with cross-functional teams across Ads, Search, GDM, and Google Research to align the system and technical approaches towards the overall mission and product
Explore emerging technologies and propose techniques
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends, the AIM product roadmap, and the evolving technical landscape
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience in software development
7 years of experience leading technical project strategy, ML design, and working with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning)
5 years of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field
5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
5 years of experience as an ML/AI engineer
Experience building AI-powered user-visible features
Experience with various AI-related tools, frameworks, and platforms
