This position requires knowledge of public and private utility design requirements and hands-on experience with city street design, focusing on delivering technical design documents to meet agency requirements.

Responsibilities
Mid-Level Utility Design Engineer for public and private infrastructure design projects from project inception to Final Design and into construction
Interact with agencies having jurisdiction over design and private utility companies for coordination of design necessary to gain sign-offs and approvals
Assist the management team with the scope and schedule for the delivery of technical design documents to meet agency requirements necessary for contract documents
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in the design drainage, green infrastructure practices, watermains, street lighting, ITS infrastructure, gas for National Grid and Con Edison, and steam mains and duct work for ConEdison electric and various communications companies
Experience coordinating staging of the design with MPT, traffic signals and street reconstruction design
Experience in the utility design of watermains, gas mains, steam mains, sewers, electrical and communication conduits and drainage to meet agency requirements
Responsibility to meet scope, schedule, budget and quality for the delivery interim and final documents necessary for contract documents
Experience working with other engineering disciplines and public agencies/municipalities
Experience with either AutoCAD-Civil 3D and/or Microstation ORD is required
Preferred
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of New York preferred; E.I.T. with requisite experience will be considered
