Executive Director - Primary Care Strategic Ops

Responsibilities

Key member of Primary Care and Retail Services Executive Management team – guiding key discussions, preparing relevant analysis and ensuring key discussions are productive so that the annual plans are executed. Accountable to resolve strategic and operational challenges regularly
Provides senior level facilitation within and outside of the Physician Enterprise regularly with the ability to make independent business decision to advance critical initiatives
Provides decision-making support to PLT executive management on Primary Care and Retail Services strategic plans, business plans, and strategic projects
Provides independent project leadership for complex system-wide projects that touch a wide variety of stakeholders and scope; responsible for shifting between planning, execution, business development and problem solving
Provides leadership for the employer strategy initiative and the system-wide coordination of Community Relations in support of these efforts
Serves as primary collaborator and support resource for the President, Primary Care and Retail Services for Piedmont Healthcare, Inc. including actively managing projects related to President’s responsibilities to include system-wide retail services strategy, primary care and pediatric network development
Designs approach and serves as the leader for other system-wide initiatives such as Piedmont Healthcare’s Employer strategy, Piedmont Healthcare’s Clinical Care Coordination and Referral management initiative and often serves as member on system-wide committees representing executive management at Piedmont Healthcare
Leads the development execution of new primary care product offerings and accountable for their ongoing management
Partners with other system-wide functions by working with Executive Directors and Sr. Executives in IS, Business Intelligence, Quality, Patient Experience, ad Marketing to lead the execution of system-wide strategies. Must be able to lead through influence
Serves as the Primary Care network lead and liaison for processes, decision-making, and execution related to value-based programs and other similar system quality initiative
Designs and leads implementation of all primary care engagement and communication strategies to streamline communications and engage primary care and retail services providers affiliated with all Piedmont Healthcare facilities and geographic markets: independent, joint ventured, employed primary care practices, urgent care, pediatrics, and retail locations
Leads process and contributes to negotiations for Piedmont Healthcare strategic partners (e.g. Walgreens, others) in primary care and retail services (imaging, etc.)
Serves as the administrative leader for the system-wide Primary Care Clinical Governance Council (CGC). This includes leading the council meetings and implementation of initiatives and ensuring that CGC work is coordinated with the overall direction of Primary Care and Retail Services, and the overall direction of Piedmont Healthcare and the Physician Enterprise
Participates in and prepares materials for Senior Leadership meetings, including PE management meetings, Piedmont Clinic Board meetings, Employer Strategy Committee, XO meetings
Maintains high visibility – serves as a credible leader for the system and as a change agent
Works in a dyad relationship to lead the primary care network in the development and execution of clinical and growth projects

Required

Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration or a closely related field is required
Ten (10) years of progressively responsible work experience in a senior management position in practice operations, healthcare administration or a closely related field is required
