Responsibilities
Perform work order assessments and complete complex distribution system designs in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
Design electric distribution systems for both new construction and maintenance activities
Evaluate distribution system capacity to serve new loads and identify/mitigate future system impacts
Ensure all engineering designs and permitting requirements are met
Serve as the single point of contact for assigned projects within the service territory
Plan, coordinate, and implement engineering projects with internal engineering and operations teams
Develop accurate resource estimates including labor hours, materials, and work type
Manage project scope, schedules, costs, performance tracking, and reporting
Proactively and reactively communicate with customers regarding project scope, cost, and progress
Work with internal departments to establish customer requirements and finalize project costs
Negotiate project details while balancing customer needs, system reliability, and cost effectiveness
Ensure adherence to company standards, policies, and safety requirements
Support organizational initiatives including training, process improvement, and technical guidance
Participate in meetings, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts
Meet attendance, extended hours, and storm duty requirements as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field OR High School Diploma/GED with equivalent relevant work experience
3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Electric distribution or utility operations, Customer interaction and negotiations, Electric Power Technology Certification
Strong integrity, compliance awareness, and professional conduct
Engineering analysis and problem-solving
Project and process management
Effective written and verbal communication
Customer-focused decision-making
Leadership and collaboration across teams
