Epic Training Supervisor

TEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services, seeking an experienced Epic Training Supervisor to modernize their Epic & IT training program. This role involves supervising a team of training specialists, redesigning training delivery methods, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance curriculum quality and training effectiveness.

Information Technology

Responsibilities

Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Epic/IT Trainers, providing ongoing coaching and performance management
Evaluate team skill sets and recommend changes to optimize resource alignment
Maintain strong communication channels, lead team meetings, and set performance expectations
Redesign initial and ongoing training models for providers, nurses, ambulatory staff, and Community Connect partners
Introduce more interactive, asynchronous, and workflow-based learning leveraging tools such as Articulate and Camtasia
Ensure training materials and course content stay accurate, updated, and aligned to organizational standards and foundation build
Oversee Epic curriculum development, delivery, test-outs, and upgrade training
Support Workday-based course registration and learning workflows for internal and external learners
Participate in training evaluations and observe training sessions to assess quality and identify improvements
Support the launches of multiple Epic modules (Beaker, Cupid, Research, Gallery, Willow Ambulatory, Lumens, etc.)
Coordinate training readiness for upgrades, go-lives, and new Community Connect affiliates
Lead change management efforts to shift training culture and adopt new best practices
Partner with Clinical Education, operations, informatics, and project teams to incorporate workflows and clinical best practices into training curriculums
Participate in Epic and Workday workgroups and liaise with stakeholders (e.g., analysts, operational departments)

Required

Experience in supervising and mentoring a team of training specialists
Expertise in instructional design and training program modernization
Strong communication skills to maintain communication channels and lead team meetings
Experience in redesigning training models for various healthcare staff
Ability to introduce interactive and workflow-based learning tools
Experience in overseeing curriculum development and training delivery
Knowledge of Epic and Workday training delivery processes
Experience in project and change management related to training
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Proficiency in Articulate 360
Proficiency in Camtasia
Experience with Workday Learning modules
Experience in creating e-learning, videos, workflows, and assessments

Preferred

Experience with upcoming Epic modules such as Beaker, Cupid, Lumens, Willow Ambulatory, Research, Behavioral Health, and Gallery
