Associate EHR System Analyst - Beacon Oncology

The Associate EHR System Analyst will support the design and implementation of Epic EHR tools to enhance patient care, while collaborating with clinical and technical stakeholders to ensure system functionality meets institutional needs.

Responsibilities
Obtain required Epic certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certifications as assigned
Adhere to standard operating procedures, build guidelines, and testing standards (SME or governance sign‑off)
Follow IS division best practices and institutional policies, procedures, and standards
Assist with documentation related to system enhancements
Perform testing activities to ensure solutions are technically sound
Implement requested system changes and communicate updates to end users
Maintain and troubleshoot Epic build under guidance
Modify Epic content as directed by project teams
Participate in system implementation and optimization efforts
Ensure patient safety is prioritized when evaluating build or configuration decisions
Perform low‑risk or routine system maintenance tasks with supervision
Complete routine revisions to meet build metrics
Assist in providing application support and problem resolution for end users
Respond promptly to support requests and communicate status updates or ETAs
Participate in after‑hours support and downtime procedures as needed
Gain technical and workflow knowledge for assigned applications to improve incident resolution
Gather information related to potential system enhancements and workflow improvements
Build positive working relationships with customers and OneIS partners
Collaborate with senior analysts to learn business operations, workflows, and system functionality
Deliver innovative, quality, and sustainable IT solutions and services
Promote trust, respect, support, and honesty with customers and colleagues
Demonstrate strong partnership and collaboration habits across teams
Model excellence, continuous improvement, and a commitment to delivering value
Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
EPIC - EPIC Certification Epic within 180 Days
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics or related
A recent grad with Health Informatics bachelor's degree or related
At least two years of Healthcare IT experience
At least four years of direct care experience using Epic oncology or ambulatory
