Responsibilities
Design and execute test plans that validate application quality and reliability
Analyze test results, identify defects, and assess risks to communicate impacts to stakeholders
Establish quality standards and testing best practices for the team
Build and maintain automated test frameworks using Java, Groovy, or Kotlin
Develop CI/CD pipelines for automated testing (Jenkins, Azure)
Conduct code reviews to ensure automation follows object-oriented design principles
Collaborate with product, design, and development teams on requirements
Coach junior SDETs on test environment setup, data management, and testing standards
Drive improvements in test coverage, reliability, and accuracy
Test web technologies, REST/SOAP APIs, mobile applications, and services using tools like Selenium, Appium, SoapUI, Postman, and SauceLabs
Qualification
Required
5+ years as an SDET with major application releases
Programming: Java, Groovy, XML, JavaScript, CSS, HTML
Testing frameworks: Selenium, Appium, JUnit/TestNG
Tools: Git, Jenkins, Splunk, SauceLabs
API testing and CI/CD pipeline development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to translate business requirements into test strategies
Experience mentoring team members
Preferred
Agile/Scrum methodology knowledge preferred
