They are seeking a Senior Structural Designer with extensive experience in heavy industrial and power plant projects to produce 3D models and design drawings, review vendor shop drawings, and coordinate work with other disciplines.

Responsibilities
Producing 3D models and design drawings for structural steel, reinforced concrete, and/or ductwork, preparing layouts and conceptual designs
Reviewing vendor shop fabrication drawings is a plus, preparing material take-offs and assist with cost estimates
Coordinating work with other disciplines, clients, and contractors, and performing site walk-downs for field verification and to address constructability
Qualification
Required
20+ years heavy industrial/power plant experience
Producing 3D models and design drawings for structural steel, reinforced concrete, and/or ductwork
Preparing layouts and conceptual designs
Reviewing vendor shop fabrication drawings
Preparing material take-offs and assist with cost estimates
Coordinating work with other disciplines, clients, and contractors
Performing site walk-downs for field verification and to address constructability
Proficient using AutoCAD
Extensive 3D modelling and drawing creation experience
Good Technical writing skills
Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff, and/or vendors
High School Diploma
Preferred
Experience with Advance Steel
Steel and concrete detailing background
