Director of Sales and Marketing
Valor Hospitality Partners is seeking an experienced Hotel Director of Sales and Marketing to join the team at The Lodge at Gulf State Park. The role involves leading the sales team, developing strategic initiatives to maximize profitability, and cultivating relationships with high-value clients to drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to maximize profitability and market share
Identify key market segments and cultivate relationships with high-value clients
Secure lucrative business opportunities and lead the sales team in generating leads, negotiating contracts, and closing deals to achieve and exceed sales targets
Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to the sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Proven success as Director of Sales at a lifestyle/upper-upscale hotel or resort with significant group & meetings contribution
Ability to perform critical analysis and manage wide range of information
Extensive knowledge of negotiating and sales tactics
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
Knowledge of developing and executing sales objectives and strategies required
Proven ability to recruit, motivate, train, and retain management and sales team
Computer proficiency and knowledge of various software programs, including a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, sales operating systems, social media, and business intelligence applications
