Responsibilities
Implements and supports the development of data management and governance strategies aligned with organizational goals
Implements and maintains standards for data storage, data in transit and data use in both raw and insight formats
Reviews and documents data standards to ensure consistency and quality across all data domains, and that policies are followed
Helps ensure the accuracy, consistency and reliability of data throughout its lifecycle by handling data quality standards, monitoring data quality metrics and implementing corrective processes while supporting data quality audits as needed to ensure data standards are met
Implements data governance policies that help maintain data integrity ensuring data practices align with organizational goals, and frameworks that define how data is collected, stored, processed and shared
Implements operational improvements to reduce data quality defects, improve efficiency and speed while maintaining compliance to regulations and policies
Handles moderately complex data from initiation to decommissioning through the lifecycle to ensure compliance with policies and regulations
Helps develop and implements data governance, risk and compliance processes and controls to support continuous improvement, mitigate risk and align with applicable laws and regulations
Deploys training programs to improve organizational literacy, compliance to data standards and policies and increased understanding of accountability for data responsibilities
Implements, deploys, sustains solutions or improvements to data management and governance technologies to advance data practices for improved compliance, efficiency and value
Qualification
Required
Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience
SAP S/4HANA Master Data Expertise: Deep knowledge of master data structures and processes across Vendor, Customer, Material, BP, and Plant objects within S/4HANA (including creation, changes, validations, and governance workflows)
Master Data Governance & Process Discipline: Strong understanding of governance frameworks, data ownership/stewardship, approval flows, standards, controls, and the ability to enforce and improve consistent data processes
Data Quality Management: Hands‑on ability to profile, cleanse, enrich, and monitor master data quality using clear rules and KPIs—focusing on accuracy, completeness, consistency, and duplication prevention
Networking & Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Skill in partnering with Operations, Trading, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, AP/AR, and Shared Services to ensure smooth master data operations, solve issues quickly, and drive alignment across different business areas
Customer Orientation & Service Mindset: Clear, proactive communication with users; ability to educate, guide, and support stakeholders; and a strong focus on improving the experience and outcomes for internal 'customers.'
