Responsibilities
Perform mechanical and/or electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on all manufacturing and facility equipment
Supervise equipment upgrades and modifications to maintain an “as-new” condition, including functionality and appearance
Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
Manage and execute small-scale equipment and facility projects
Perform and document Job Safety Analyses (JSA)
Support equipment startup, operation, and calibration activities
Supervise contractors (e.g., plumbers, electricians) and coordinate mechanical assemblies
Communicate timely and relevant information related to programs and engineering disciplines
Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA) for equipment upgrades, changes, or obsolescence
Apply Root Cause Analysis techniques for troubleshooting and problem resolution
Train and mentor maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and common commercial components, with the ability to apply them effectively
PLC knowledge and hands-on experience
Working knowledge of engineering standards and safety codes
Familiarity with facility infrastructure such as boilers, compressors, and related systems
Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical equipment and processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Three to five years of relevant experience in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering disciplines OR entry-level candidates with a Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering (or equivalent experience)
Preferred
Lean manufacturing experience is a plus
Understanding of AutoCAD usage; working knowledge is a plus
