The role involves advising on communications and consumer protection/privacy regulatory matters and requires experience in communications law and data privacy law.

Qualification

Required

one to three years of meaningful experience in communications law and data privacy law
experience advising on communications and consumer protection/privacy regulatory matters
exposure to transactional, litigation, and/or enforcement matters
Excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills
a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Admission to the District of Columbia Bar, or eligibility and willingness to obtain admission

Preferred

Experience working on matters involving emerging technologies, digital platforms, broadband, telecommunications, advertising and/or data-driven products and services
Experience with federal and state privacy laws, children's privacy laws, the GDPR, and related data protection regimes
Familiarity with regulatory compliance programs, investigations, and government enforcement
An IAPP certification (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT)
