Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, Design, Ops, and Data Science, to conceptualize, plan, and fully own the development of new features from ideation through to implementation
Design and develop a robust, scalable, and maintainable codebase, solving complex problems in web services and distributed systems while adhering to best practices and architectural patterns
Participate in code reviews, contribute to the development of engineering best practices, and provide mentorship and coaching to junior engineers
Debug and troubleshoot complex issues across multiple systems to ensure stability and performance
Build relationships with engineers across teams like Membership, Rider, AI & Messaging to foster collaboration and drive innovation
Stay up-to-date with new technologies and methodologies related to backend development
Run experiments and measure the impact of their work, using data to drive continuous improvements and inform future decisions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field or Software Engineering work experience, which includes +3 year full-time total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:
Experience coding in a general-purpose programming language (e.g Java, Go)
Preferred
3+ years of proven experience in fullstack development
Experience building reliable services and distributed systems at scale
Familiarity with Go
Industry experience creating user interfaces and user experiences
Industry or academic experience building microservices and crafting APIs
Passionate about developing applications with a focus on performance and user experience
Strong communication skills, experience working with stakeholders including product managers, design and user research
