AdminOps & Analyst

Cyberstar is a small, fully remote, growth-stage software product company that provides decision support and talent management solutions to Federal and Commercial Cybersecurity workforces. The AdminOps & Analyst role involves partnering with the COO on administrative operations and financial and HR workflows, focusing on executing defined processes and producing analyses to support leadership decisions.

Information Technology

Responsibilities

Work in the accounts payable platform to pay invoices, verify payments, support operational financial needs, and configure as needed align with company policy
Create & run reports or analyses to support leadership decisions as they relate to revenue and expenses, cashflow, or other operational metrics
Identify patterns, discrepancies, or issues related to financial and HR data and escalate or troubleshoot as needed
Be the primary point of contact and collaborate with vendor partners for depth or specialty of skills (e.g. bookkeeping, CPA, legal, etc.)
Run bi-monthly (mostly push-button) payroll using our platform
Handle routine payroll & benefits items and coordinate with payroll or benefits support for exceptions (hourly employees, benefits changes, deductions, deposits)
Support recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle changes
Maintain and update HR documentation and internal records
Be generally aware of HR/compliance risks and research specifics when needed
Follow defined administrative processes consistently
Suggest improvements where systems or processes can be more effective
Partner with COO to refine workflows, then execute those workflows consistently
Form action plans for various AdminOps initiatives and tasks
Track progress, follow through, and route tasks appropriately
Escalate issues only when necessary

Required

Is curious, analytical, and resourceful
Understands high-level HR and finance-related implications and risks
Can research and solve problems independently (or with coaching)
Executes processes consistently while identifying opportunities to improve them

A systems thinker with strong follow-through and organizational skills
Analytical and comfortable working with numbers in spreadsheets or reporting tools
Curious and resourceful; able to research, learn, and solve problems with light guidance
Comfortable using software/platforms to execute processes and troubleshoot issues
A desire to automate routine processes and tasks
Good judgment about when to solve issues independently, seek guidance, or escalate
Interested in learning and growing in operational areas
2–5 years of experience in HR administration, payroll, office/operations support, or related functions

Preferred

Software product company experience
Exposure to small, growth-stage companies
Interest in long-term growth toward operational responsibilities
