Boise Cascade Company is one of the largest manufacturers of plywood and engineered wood products in North America. They are seeking a Purchasing Intern to learn about purchasing, receiving, and monitoring inventory for a manufacturing facility while gaining on-the-job training in various organizational processes and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Learn the organization's policies, processes, systems, products, and/ or services and responsibilities based on the incumbent's functional work assignments
Acquires knowledge of industry practices through on-the-job training
Interns will learn about purchasing, receiving, monitoring inventory for a manufacturing facility and other jobs as assigned
Completes cycle counts to support meeting year-end targets
Cover for summer vacation/ leave
Handle the physical receiving/stocking of goods
Assist with warehouse projects, including reorganizing bin locations and storerooms
Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50lbs, walking, stooping, standing, and pulling for up to 8 hours per day
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must possess a high school diploma or GED
Working towards college degree
Effective communication skills
Ability to work well in team environment
Computer and keyboard skills

Preferred

Undergraduate earning bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or closely related field
