Operations Support Engineer (Onsite)

RTX is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Engineer to support site-level transition activities as part of their broader Separation Management Plan. This role involves ensuring the successful execution of manufacturing operations impacted by divestiture or separation activities and requires close coordination with various teams to meet compliance and operational standards.

Responsibilities

Execute assigned site-level tasks supporting manufacturing separation and divestiture activities under the SMP
Serve as the primary engineering point of contact between site operations and central separation program teams
Coordinate cross-functional actions involving engineering and programs
Support accurate documentation, tracking, and closure of transition deliverables
Ensure separation activities are executed in compliance with contractual obligations, internal procedures, and regulatory standards
Identify risks, gaps, or execution challenges and escalate appropriately with recommended solutions
Participate in reviews, audits, and readiness assessments related to separation milestones
Support continuous communication to ensure alignment across all stakeholders throughout the transition process

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
Prior engineering experience within a manufacturing or assembly environment

Preferred

Electrical engineering experience and/or actuation product experience is preferred
Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a regulated environment (e.g., aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing)
Familiarity with production processes, shop floor execution, and manufacturing documentation
Experience coordinating cross-functional activities across engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations
Experience working on transition, transfer, or site integration activities is a plus
Proficiency with standard engineering and manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP/MRP, PLM, or document control tools)
