Responsibilities
Measure and prepare samples before all fit sessions and record comments to ensure final fit, quality and construction meet all standards
Work closely with Sourcing and Design to execute the Time and Action calendar and manage the sample approval process
Communicate with overseas factories and vendors to ensure all styles, fits, construction and specs meet the standards for costing and appropriateness for brand
Track fit and pre-production samples
Partner with Production and Quality Assurance teams to carry out quality assurance protocols to identify issues and suggest solutions
Special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design with a strong knowledge of garment construction and patternmaking
1+ years of experience in the fashion industry as an Assistant Technical Designer (children's wear experience a plus)
Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills with attention to detail
Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, silhouettes, color ways, sewing techniques, fabrication and trim
Consistent in-office presence is vital to the role as it is for all Haddad Brands team members, so that we all have a full appreciation, aesthetically and tactilely, of the qualities that define our brand partners' products and set them apart from their competitors
