Graphics Specialist

Bucknell University is seeking a Graphics Specialist to edit, preflight, and produce a variety of graphic files. This role involves operating and maintaining printing equipment while ensuring all files follow brand standards and meet quality expectations.

Responsibilities

Operates small and large format printing, mounting, and laminating equipment. Performs routine maintenance and troubleshoots printers and cutter to finetune and effectively use the features and functions of the machine. Inspects finished pieces for quality. Prepares completed works for delivery or pickup and assist with graphic installation
Designs print and digital communications. Sets up files for printing and cutting specs. Pre-flights and makes necessary edits to customer provided files. Sends proofs of designed or edited files to customer for approval. Ensures that all projects adhere to established University brand standards
Responds to questions, orders, and requests submitted to Graphic Services. Reaches out to customers with questions about their orders or requests. Recommends printing, finishing, and stock options to creatively and effectively produce projects that best suit customers' needs
Reviews orders submitted via graphic service requests and the online storefront. Prioritizes work and schedule production to meet the specified deadlines
Greets all customers in a friendly and professional manner. Answers questions and performs while-you-wait requests. Assists customers with the pickup of completed work. Helps with the distribution of campus mail

Required

High school diploma or GED, with a focus on graphic design or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of related experience

Preferred

4 years of work in graphic design or a related field
