Sr Quality Engineer

The Sr Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining manufacturing quality systems for assigned customers or product lines, ensuring consistent quality and compliance with safety and environmental policies.

Responsibilities
Adhere to Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies
Sets and monitors SPC data to ensure delivery of consistent quality from suppliers or to customers
Sets standards for determining non-conforming materials and scrap review
Responds and follows up on customer and supplier concerns with regard to quality
Plans and coordinates PPAP documentation and submissions to customers and coordinates and approves supplier PPAPs
Assists with CPs, FCs, PFMEAs and other APQP launch activities for customers or suppliers
Participates and leads corrective action, problem solving, and continuous improvement activities for (customers, internal, suppliers)
Assists in the development of standardized work processes and process improvements
Assists in the implementation of ISO and TS initiatives
Update customer portals as needed to reflect correct (contacts lists, certifications, etc.)
Any tasks deemed necessary by management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree engineering degree with 2 years quality experience in stamping/robotic assembly
OR Associate Science engineering degree with 4 years quality experience in stamping/robotic assembly
Experience with automotive manufacturing and assembly plant processes is a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk and hear
Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and 25 pounds overhead
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Good hearing is required
Good dexterity with hands and good hand-eye coordination
The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so other will understand
The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
Handle the stress of a fast-paced environment
Able to work overtime as needed and travel as required
Work a flexible schedule and extended hours on occasions
