Responsibilities
Manage daily security operations including shift scheduling, patrols, access control, and incident reporting
Lead training and oversight for all security personnel, including emergency response, customer service, and de-escalation protocols
Liaise with local law enforcement, fire department, and emergency services as needed
Develop and implement safety policies, evacuation procedures, and crisis management protocols
Maintain and monitor security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms) and report maintenance needs
Coordinate coverage for VIP guests, high-profile events, and public access areas
Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations, producing detailed reports
Work collaboratively with departments including Rooms, Events, and Engineering to ensure integrated property safety
Maintain compliance with all relevant city, state, and OSHA security regulations
Qualification
Required
5+ years of progressive experience in security or safety management, preferably in luxury hospitality, nightlife, or event environments
NYS Security Guard License required
CPR/First Aid/AED Certification required
Knowledge of surveillance systems, hotel property layouts, and threat assessment protocols
Prior supervisory or managerial experience in a unionized setting preferred
Preferred
Fire Safety Director Certification strongly preferred
