Responsibilities
Diagnose, service, and repair outboard boat motors per manufacturer guidelines
Perform maintenance and repairs on Yamaha, Suzuki, and/or Mercury engines
Complete engine diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performance testing
Conduct rigging, repowers, and full engine installations
Execute routine services: oil changes, cooling systems, lower units, and fuel systems
Record all work performed, labor time, and parts used
Communicate with service advisors regarding repair status
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Ensure all work meets Boathouse Marine quality and manufacturer standards
Stay current on certification requirements, service bulletins, and training updates
Qualification
Required
Current Outboard Motor Certification — Yamaha, Suzuki, and/or Mercury
Minimum 2 years of marine technician experience
Strong hands-on experience with outboard-powered boats
Ability to independently diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
Knowledge of marine systems (fuel, cooling, electrical, steering, rigging)
Valid driver's license
Ability to work on-site in Riviera Beach / West Palm Beach, FL
Preferred
Multiple manufacturer certifications (Yamaha + Mercury + Suzuki)
Experience with repowers and advanced engine diagnostics
Familiarity with dealer service software and warranty claims
Strong organizational and time-management skills
