General Hydrostatics (GHS) Training Instructor
GD Resources LLC is seeking an experienced General Hydrostatics (GHS) Training Instructor to deliver an on-site, three-day training course at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division in West Bethesda, Maryland. The role involves providing expert-led instruction on the General Hydrostatics software for beginner to intermediate users, including hands-on training exercises and necessary materials.

Responsibilities
Deliver a three-day, instructor-led GHS training course, 8 hours per day, on-site at NSWCCD
Provide instruction tailored to beginner and intermediate users of the GHS software
Lead hands-on training exercises and guided demonstrations
Model building using: Section Editor, Part Maker, Model Converter
GHS command language, including: Macros and variables, Run file generation
Introduction to run files, including: Load conditions, Stability criteria
Stability topics: Intact stability, Damage stability, Heeling moments, Free surface effects
Longitudinal strength calculations, including wave effects
Introduction to Load Editor
Provide temporary GHS software licenses for up to 15 participants for the duration of the course
Supply all required training materials and documentation
Provide advance instructions for downloading and installing the GHS software prior to course start
Coordinate with designated Government Points of Contact (POCs) for training logistics
Comply with all facility access and security requirements while on site
Operate under escort from the security office to the training area, as required
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated expertise in the use of General Hydrostatics (GHS) software for naval vessels
Proven experience teaching or training others in GHS software applications
Academic credentials from a recognized naval architecture institution (e.g., Webb Institute, Maine Maritime Academy, or similar), or
Verification from Creative Solutions confirming instructor proficiency and authorization to provide GHS training
Strong instructional and presentation skills
Ability to explain complex naval architecture and hydrostatics concepts clearly
Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences
Instructor must comply with all NSWCCD security procedures
Instructor will be escorted from the security office to the training location by a designated Government POC
