Responsibilities
Configure and maintain DCS and EDS systems/servers, including alarms, and historian data points; this requires an understanding of scripting and automation using Python, C, C+, or platform specific languages. Lead DCS integration initiatives across multiple control systems and facilities while also providing expert knowledge for new generation development
Design and work on the architecture and layouts of control networks, assign IP addresses and networks, and configure data links between different vendors and devices
Develop operator facing dashboards, perform troubleshooting, alarm management, and system maintenance to ensure real-time operations of the DCS systems
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks such as NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), and FERC Standards of Conduct (SOC), working closely with IT security teams
Identify, scope and lead projects that require collaboration with cross-functional teams, while also developing the architecture required for upgrades and improvements to the DCS architecture and systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related studies and 7+ years of relevant experience in processes, systems, and tools
OR Associate's degree in related studies and 9+ years of relevant experience in processes, systems, and tools
OR High School diploma and 11+ years of relevant experience in processes, systems, and tools
Experience with strategy, major project delivery, Agile methodology, business analysis, finance, business case consulting, and/or consulting with senior level roles
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Office, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to interact with internal and external clients to identify, research and analyze situations to resolve highly advanced and extremely complex problems
Extensive knowledge and/or experience in utility practices and procedures
Extensive knowledge of value streams, process and systems the department supports
Ability to solve very complex problems, taking new perspectives using existing solutions, and innovating new solutions where needed, Lean principles
Facilitation, organization, project management
Excellent communication skills: ability to interact at all levels
