Human Resources Business Partner

PDI - Kitchen, Bath, & Lighting is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support managers and employees across various environments. This role involves recruiting, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations, ensuring consistent HR practices and a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as a HR point of contact for branch locations and departments
Support managers with performance management, corrective action, and employee concerns
Provide guidance that is practical, compliant, and aligned with company policies
Manage full cycle recruiting for hourly roles, including warehouse, drivers, counter sales, and office positions
Coordinate job postings, interviews, background checks, and offers
Support onboarding and new hire orientation to ensure a smooth transition
Assist with administration of benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and leave programs
Respond to employee benefit questions and resolve issues with vendors and brokers
Support annual open enrollment and benefit communications
Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Maintain employee files, HRIS records, and required documentation
Assist with workers’ compensation claims, unemployment responses, and audits
Handle routine employee relations issues, including attendance, policy questions, and workplace concerns
Support investigations and documentation under the guidance of senior HR leadership
Promote a safe, respectful, and productive workplace across warehouse and office environments
Support HR programs and initiatives, including training, safety, and engagement efforts
Partner with operations leaders to address workforce challenges in a fast-paced distribution environment
Assist with HR projects and process improvements as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5 years of HR generalist or HRBP experience, preferably in distribution, manufacturing, or logistics
Working knowledge of recruiting, benefits, and employee relations
Familiarity with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Practical problem-solving approach
Ability to work effectively with hourly and salaried employees
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable working in warehouse and operational environments
