Responsibilities

Developing new opportunities for supplier partners within new and existing account relationships and locations
Building both deep and broad relationships within the direct and distribution customers in the defined territory
Developing significant new business in assigned accounts by leveraging knowledge of consultative, value-based selling strategies
Achieving revenue generation and customer satisfaction by working with support teams, closing sales and acting in accordance with the company’s vision, values and strategy

Required

Must live in territory
5-7 years sales experience in similar position and/or field
Highly skilled in communication – both written and verbal
Highly skilled with data: compiling, comparing, evaluating, inputting, reporting and synthesizing
Highly skilled with people: persuading, mentoring, serving, counseling, leading, helping
Acts independently yet can work in a team environment
Adapts quickly to new technologies and products
Demonstrates consultative selling skills and understands value-based selling
Basic skills in computer operation
Strong technical presentation skills
Sociable- Ability to engage with customers and distributors in a social setting i.e. Trade shows, dinners, lunches
Assertive- Proactive communication with all constituents
Persistent- Dogged drive to do their part in furthering the strategic direction of the company
Confident- Knowing enough to credibly open doors and drive through the close with all audiences
Intuitive- Ability to take the nonfactual events and conversations to know the meaning behind the actions
Persuasive- Getting audiences to take the desired action based on information we provide
Self-reliant- Can manage their territory by being the driver of action
Competitive- Drive to win in an ethical way
Adaptable- Being able to be flexible in the face of changing environment

Preferred

Sales Experience in Electronics, Electrical, Electromechanical products preferred
Printed Circuit board and program management experience beneficial
Bachelors degree preferred, especially Industrial Distribution, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Others encouraged to apply
