Responsibilities

The Controller is responsible for performing day‐to‐day general accounting activities requiring a general understanding of business processes and the ability to investigate and explain variances in business results from period to period
The role will participate in the month end financial statement closing process and will prepare internal and external financial reports
Perform general accounting activities requiring general insight and depth of understanding
Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and accounting standards
Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
Audit Coordination: Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support for various projects
Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, the board of directors, and stakeholders
Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of the company's financial strategy, aligning it with the overall mission

Required

Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance
8+ years of experience required
Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator across all levels of the organization. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to present information in a meaningful & concise formats
CPA required
Strong leadership skills with an ability to affect change through objective analysis and reason
Highly organized, with strong multi-tasking skills to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and demands
Strong systems orientation to ensure maximizing current reporting systems
Advanced proficiency level in MS Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred

SAP ERP experience highly preferred
