Maryville Academy is seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist to join their team. The role involves providing expertise and support across all HR functions including recruitment, benefits administration, and talent management, while effectively communicating with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance on HR practices, policies, legislation, and regulatory requirements to employees and leaders
Collaborate with business leaders to advise on recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, compensation, and organizational effectiveness
Analyze data to support decision-making based on HR metrics and trends
Assist in talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation and benefits, and organization development
Complete compliance reports and support audits as required
Undertake additional HR tasks as needed and assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; significant recruiting experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Minimum of four (3) years of HR experience in a HR Generalist role or 2 years with a master's degree in human resources
Experience with payroll systems
Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills and business acumen
Must be eligible to work in the U.S without sponsorship
Must have a valid Illinois Driver's license
Commitment to the mission and objectives of Maryville Academy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
Understanding of HR department functions and interrelationships

Preferred

Non-profit HR experience is a plus
