Responsibilities
Lead and develop people
Manage and grow a customer-aligned team of Mechanical and Project Engineers
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and proactive planning
Coach and mentor engineers to strengthen technical excellence and delivery discipline
Build a deep understanding of customer standards, expectations, and processes
Serve as the engineering escalation point for your assigned customer vertical
Partner closely with Program Engineers to ensure engineering output aligns with customer needs
Oversee mechanical engineering execution from project handoff through closeout
Ensure schedules, budgets, and quality commitments are met
Own engineering resourcing decisions for aligned customer projects
Support and review pre-contract engineering estimates and schedules
Monitor progress, identify risks early, and implement mitigation strategies
Drive continuous improvement in engineering delivery processes and tools
Track and report performance metrics for engineering execution within your vertical
Qualification
Required
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
You bring 7+ years of engineering or project management experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
You've led customer-specific engineering work on complex projects
You're a strong people leader who builds trust and develops teams
You're organized, decisive, and comfortable managing competing priorities
You communicate clearly with engineers, leaders, and customers
