Sales Engineer

Responsibilities
Interpret and qualify customer-provided documents such as prints, CAD files, and specifications
Full understanding of tolerances, materials, specifications, and processing options that will guide a robust metal supply chain creation
Manage part specific supply chains by utilizing internal and external processing assets to meet customer quality and delivery requirements
Estimate material, labor, and delivery options on a part-level basis and develop contract pricing templates based on awarded work
Evaluating sales proposals to ensure they are technically accurate and consistent with the organization’s quality standards
Conducting technical analysis of product configurations to determine customer-specific prices
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
1-3 years of sales experience in the metal industry
Print reading required
MS Office software skills required, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Working knowledge of geometry, strong math skills, and a technical aptitude
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred
CAD or drafting experience a plus
Experience with SAP is highly preferred
Experience in sales or customer service is an asset
