Mid LevelTypTap Insurance Company is seeking a SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain their organization's databases. The DBA will ensure the performance, availability, and security of SQL Server databases while collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to design efficient database solutions.

Responsibilities
Assist with developing and maintaining SQL scripts and queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources into SQL Server databases
Maintain SQL Server database to a production standard of 99.9%
Administer SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for creating and managing reports
Support integration of SSRS reports with other applications and systems
Manage and maintain SQL Server databases across multiple environments (development, testing, production)
Ensure high availability and optimal performance through proactive tuning and monitoring
Implement database backup and recovery strategies to meet business continuity and disaster recovery objectives
Monitor database system performance and implement changes to improve efficiency
Develop and maintain scripts for automation of routine DBA tasks
Support database source control and automated deployment pipeline releases; familiarity with Redgate tooling is a plus
Implement monitoring and alerting for proactive issue detection
Qualification
Required
Ability to support technical database and reporting infrastructure on a 24/7 basis
Experience working with relational databases and SSIS packages
Clear, concise oral and written communication skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Self‑directed and effective at working independently, even when project information is incomplete
Adept at multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines
Jira and Confluence (or equivalent software) experience
Preferred
Basic Windows Server OS Experience preferred
Experience with Zappysys ETL process and MongoDB a plus
Working knowledge of Power BI, PowerShell, PostgreSQL a plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft dotNet Studio a plus
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred)
