Bilingual IT Help Desk Support Contractor

Ascendo Resources is a growing financial services organization seeking a Help Desk Specialist / IT Support Technician to join its internal IT support team. The role involves providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to internal users, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and managing user accounts and permissions across various platforms.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to internal users via phone, email, and ticketing systems
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues
Escalate complex issues to higher-tier support as needed
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software
Manage user accounts, access controls, and permissions across platforms such as Active Directory and Google Workspace
Support cloud and SaaS applications, including Office 365 and remote access tools
Troubleshoot VPN, remote desktop, and cloud-based application issues
Maintain clear documentation of issues, resolutions, and system changes
Promote IT security best practices and assist with backup, recovery, and incident reporting
Monitor and report potential security risks or vulnerabilities

Required

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Experience troubleshooting Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP)
Familiarity with platforms such as Azure, Intune, and Ivanti
Experience using ticketing systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, or Zendesk
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask effectively
Clear communication skills, especially when working with non-technical users
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
MUST be bilingual Spanish and English

Preferred

IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator
Exposure to enterprise security tools (firewalls, antivirus, endpoint protection)
Prior experience in a customer-facing IT support role
Basic scripting experience (PowerShell or Bash)
