Responsibilities
Enter and process new prescriptions in the pharmacy system in compliance with policy and regulations
Send and process refill requests; generate refill documentation
Verify eligibility and perform third-party claims adjudication
Accurately read and interpret prescriptions
Validate patient information and physician authorization
Calculate dosage volumes and day supply (metric and apothecary conversions)
Ensure timely and accurate processing of all orders within Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Check orders for completeness and accuracy
Maintain accuracy of pharmacy software systems
Follow and apply program-specific guidelines
Collaborate cross-functionally, including handling prescriber calls and shipment-related inquiries
Support escalations and communicate with leadership, pharmacists, program managers, and third-party hubs
Qualification
Required
Active state Pharmacy Technician License (must not expire within 90 days of start date)
Minimum 6 months of pharmacy experience
Must have reliable transportation and ability to be onsite 5 days/week for the first 60 days
Preferred
Experience in a fast pace high volume environment
