Compounding Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift

The Compounding Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising compounders and material handlers, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while overseeing the preparation of liquid batches for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Supervise compounding technicians in the operation of the compounding room
Ensure liquid batches are manufactured to approved specifications in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
Execute departmental requirements based on the daily production schedule supporting multiple production lines and products
Hire, train, coach, and counsel compounding staff
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Purchase and maintain departmental supplies
Maintain all documentation required to support cGMP compliance
Oversee hazardous waste accumulation and disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate chemical inventory records
Support pilot plant batch preparation activities
Troubleshoot batching and processing issues to minimize downtime and waste

Required

B.S. in Engineering or Chemistry or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Must have general knowledge of processing equipment principles
Basic understanding of electronics and mechanical systems
5 -10 years of supervisory experience in a technically intensive manufacturing or processing environment
Prior hands-on experience operating processing equipment
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, 24-hour manufacturing environment
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Proven ability to hire, train, coach, and evaluate the performance of direct reports
