Responsibilities

Lead electrical engineering projects for residential and commercial developments from concept through completion
Design electrical systems including power distribution, backup power, lighting controls, life safety, and integrated technologies (AV, security, communications, structured cabling)
Prepare concept designs, load calculations, schematics, technical specifications, and construction documentation
Review designs for constructability, quality, and cost efficiency
Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and documentation to ensure safe, timely delivery
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
Review shop drawings, conduct site inspections, and support construction as required
Mentor and guide project teams to ensure technical accuracy and high-quality deliverables
Implement quality assurance, cost control, and project management best practices
Support additional services and work overtime when necessary

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration required
Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience
Strong understanding of construction processes and multi-discipline coordination
Proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with virtual design tools and technical documentation
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and customer-focused
Adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines

Preferred

Project management certification and LEED accreditation considered assets
Consulting engineering experience preferred
