Field Sales Leader

Virginia Green Lawn Care is seeking a Field Sales Leader to grow their customer base through face-to-face engagement and consultative selling. The role involves conducting evaluations, educating customers, and converting leads into service agreements while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

Engage homeowners in assigned neighborhoods to introduce Emerald Island’s customized lawn care programs
Conduct on-site evaluations to understand lawn conditions and homeowner goals
Educate customers on tailored solutions that deliver long-term lawn health—not one-size-fits-all services
Set clear expectations and build trust from the first interaction
Primary duty is outside sales, prospecting new customers
Convert conversations into new service agreements using proven, ethical sales practices
Proactively generate leads through door-to-door outreach, referrals, and community presence
Cross-sell and upsell additional services that enhance results and customer satisfaction
Consistently meet or exceed individual sales goals while maintaining Emerald Island’s high standards
Maintain a strong, visible presence within assigned territories to maximize opportunity and brand awareness
Track leads, customer interactions, and sales activity accurately using our CRM system
Use data, feedback, and coaching to continuously improve performance
Serve as a professional, knowledgeable, and positive ambassador of Emerald Island
Collaborate with service teams and leadership to ensure a seamless customer experience
Participate in training, meetings, and ongoing development opportunities

Required

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
A customer-first mindset paired with a competitive drive to succeed
Comfort with face-to-face sales and proactive outreach
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in the field
Willingness to learn, grow, and accept coaching
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to walk, stand, and remain active for extended periods
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Experience using CRM tools preferred
