The role involves designing and developing Java-based microservices for card installments and consumer lending capabilities, while leveraging AWS and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support Java-based microservices supporting card installments and consumer lending capabilities
Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging modern DevOps and CI/CD practices
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven services for high-throughput, low-latency systems
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and production support activities
Ensure solutions meet JPMC security, risk, compliance, and resiliency standards
Contribute to system scalability, performance optimization, and reliability improvements
Support Agile/Scrum delivery processes in a highly collaborative team environment
Qualification
Required
10+ years of professional Java development experience (Java 8+)
Strong experience building Spring / Spring Boot microservices
Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch)
Experience developing REST APIs and working with JSON/XML payloads
Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and clean code principles
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, etc.)
Experience working in Agile environments
Preferred
Experience in financial services, consumer banking, credit cards, or lending platforms
Exposure to Kafka or event-driven architecture
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
Knowledge of security, compliance, and risk controls in regulated environments
Prior experience working at JPMorgan Chase or other Tier-1 banks
