Workday Sr. Business Systems Analyst
Johns Hopkins Medicine is leading the Sightline Business Modernization Project to enhance operational efficiency and empower its workforce. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will act as a business function and system expert for the Workday ERP system, collaborating with stakeholders to document requirements and implement solutions to improve business processes. This role also involves project management, mentorship, and the development of the organization's Workday supply chain analytics foundation.
Responsibilities
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and document requirements for business processes, including highly complex processes
Utilizing requirements to identify appropriate technical solutions and any associated business process enhancements for the future state system
Contributing to associated testing and training activities, including documentation and execution
Providing ongoing mentorship and guidance to Business Systems Analysts
Driving supplier conversion from the legacy ERP system to the new cloud ERP
Supporting data cleansing and enrichment processes, and co-developing quality assurance measures and standard operating procedures for future supplier management processes, including onboarding, evaluation, and fraud prevention
Collaborating with health system and university stakeholders, program team members, and external suppliers to convert and onboard suppliers into the new ERP
Developing the organization's Workday supply chain analytics foundation
Understanding the current state supply chain analytics platform, and developing the Workday go-live solution set for Sourcing/ Contracts, Procurement, Inventory, Supplier Accounts/ Accounts Payable workstreams
Collaborating with Sightline Workday colleagues in HR, Finance, and IT to prioritize use cases for advanced Workday analytics solutions
Interacting with legacy SAP ECC data (within the application and with data extracts), Workday, and third-party platforms, providing intermediary data cleansing, enrichment, and validation
Qualification
Required
Requires eight years of progressively responsible experience working in a functional area (finance, HR, payroll, supply chain, sponsored projects) or working in systems analysis
Requires four years of experience as an ERP (Workday) system user, with the desired skills of scoping, requirements gathering/definition, documentation, testing, training, and support
Requires experience with varied interpersonal and technical skills, along with demonstrated skills in interacting with members from all organizational levels to diagnose problems, develop, and implement solutions that could be processed or technically oriented
Bachelor's degree in business administration, HR, finance, supply chain, information systems, computer science, or related field
Preferred
Experience in process improvement, technology implementation, or project management
Enjoy analytical thinking and problem-solving
Possess a desire to grow and learn
Experience delivering business intelligence in a healthcare supply chain
Understanding of key performance indicators and metrics in supply chain operations
Experience with key analytics toolsets: business intelligence and analytics solutions in Tableau and Power BI, Workday ERP analytics delivery, automated workflows delivered through Alteryx, Python, R, and Excel, and data warehousing
