Assistant Director for Business Operations

The State University of New York is seeking an Assistant Director for Business Operations to supervise the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable components of the System Administration Business Office. Responsibilities

Supervision of three professionals, including two Accounts Payable employee(s) and Accounts Receivable employee(s)
Coordination of $14M per annum Master Teacher payment process to over 700 Master Teachers across the State
Troubleshooting and correction of account balance issues
Financial oversight, in partnership with the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, of SUNY's PRODiG Program payments and account management
Work with other New York State Agencies, to create and submit for approval, State Financial System (SFS) Interagency Journals
Provision of Payment Spending Plan (PSP) updates to the University Controller's Office (UCO) for all Sub-allocations
Oversight, review, and pre-approval of Requests for Travel
Processing of Quarterly Scholarship Adjustment Journal
Serve as Campus Security Administrator for Jaggaer
Maintaining chart of accounts for the System Administration operating budget, including updating for changes as they occur
Oversight and responsibility for executing annual SUNY Direct Charges transaction process
Represent the Business Office on System Administration working groups
Oversight and review of annual Paid Family Leave reconciliation process
Oversight and management responsibilities for System Administration cell phone distribution, monitoring, and usage
Maintain travel reporting for monthly Management Reports sent to Senior Leadership as well as responsibility for developing processes for expanding data and analytics for travel timing of submission and processing
Responses to Freedom of Information Act requests
Creation and completion of the annul application service center revenue transactions
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher with supervisory experience along with analytical or technical experience with five (5) or more years of professional experience
Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to thrive under pressure
Ability to effectively manage shifting priorities and requirements

Preferred

Candidates with Business Intelligence/Power BI expertise, MachForm, and strong Microsoft Excel capabilities are preferred
