Litigation Paralegal
Talent Acquisition LLC is a mission-driven law firm seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its Seattle, Washington office. This role provides comprehensive litigation support in state and federal matters, including discovery, filings, trial preparation, and case management.
Responsibilities
Bluebook, cite-check, proofread, and format legal briefs and filings
Collect, organize, analyze, and produce documents in response to discovery requests
Maintain centralized repositories of factual and case-related information
Prepare pleadings, discovery requests, and discovery responses under attorney supervision
File and e-file pleadings in federal and state courts
Draft and coordinate service of subpoenas in state and federal courts
Maintain litigation files, including electronic databases and document management systems
Provide case management support, including monitoring court calendars, deadlines, and docket activity
Conduct paper and electronic docket research
Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel
Schedule and prepare for depositions
Prepare and coordinate court submissions, including binders, tables of contents, and delivery logistics
Coordinate and support attorney admissions to courts
Administer and troubleshoot legal software subscriptions and system access
Assist with hearing and trial preparation, including trial exhibits, courtroom technology, and logistics
Travel to attend hearings and trials as required
Work overtime as needed to support litigation demands
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of three years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm required
Strong Bluebook and cite-checking skills required
Trial experience required
Thorough knowledge of federal and state statutes, court rules, procedures, and trial practice
Proficiency with Westlaw, PACER, and Microsoft Office required
Strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Team-oriented and able to work collaboratively in a mission-focused environment
Willingness and ability to travel for in-state and out-of-state trials
Flexibility to work overtime as required
Preferred
Paralegal certificate preferred
Strong interest or background in politics preferred
Familiarity with document management systems and PDF editing tools preferred
