Tech Services Engineer

Responsibilities

Studies, analyzes, and seeks solutions to problems related to the design, operation, maintenance, performance, modification, or repair of aircraft, and their components
Develops complex solutions and implementation plans, project justification, cost/benefit analysis, management of project implementation, technical support, and obtaining FAA approvals as required
Defines maintenance program, configuration, and serviceability criteria ensuring safe and compliant 121 operations which includes review and implementation of applicable Services Bulletins (SBs) and FAA Airworthiness Directives (AD) for PSA's fleet
Interprets complex and technical Engineering and OEM documents
Evaluates the benefits of the cost impact of a fleet decision to ensure an optimum balance of cost, asset utilization, quality, and reliability
Provides on-site technical Engineering assistance as needed for the successful operation of PSA Airlines
Partner and collaborate with all facets of the airline to achieve superior safety and reliability results
Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Technical Operations / Maintenance of a 121 Airline Operator
Knowledge of Code of Regulations (CFRs), airworthiness design and substantiation criteria, aircraft and equipment design and operational characteristics Ability to effectively communicate and present to executive leadership
Proven experience in managing projects and implementing change initiatives
Strong analytical skills to tackle and resolve intricate issues
Excellent interpersonal skills to manage team dynamics and stakeholder relationships
Ability to speak/read/write in English
