Responsibilities
Train, mentor and oversee the performance management of the advisory team, coordinating workload and ensuring the team is appropriately staffed to meet evolving client needs
Manage and oversee proposals to existing and prospective clients and participate in key client meetings to position Marsh’s capabilities and solutions
Maintain a near complete understanding of clients’ strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs, providing tailored advice and recommending products, services and solutions for complex risks
Utilize substantial risk expertise and in-depth industry and insurance marketplace knowledge to review client exposures and loss experience, developing and executing renewal and placement strategies in conjunction with Placement, Advisory Leaders and Client Executives
Build and maintain strong client relationships, overseeing the production and quality of client deliverables and final placements to ensure standards of excellence are met
Engage in independent senior-level client interaction, serving as a problem solver and thought leader while staying current on changing risk and insurance market conditions and sharing insights internally and with clients
Qualification
Required
Significant experience in insurance, brokerage, or risk advisory roles with direct responsibility for complex commercial clients
Demonstrated success leading or mentoring teams, including coordinating workload, supporting development, and managing performance in a client-focused environment
Strong knowledge of risk management principles, insurance products, and market dynamics, with experience developing placement or renewal strategies
Excellent communication, presentation and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior internal and external stakeholders
Preferred
Prior experience in a senior advisory role managing strategic client relationships and complex multi-line risk programs
Proven track record as a thought leader, contributing to market insights, best practices, or innovative client solutions
Experience collaborating across zones or regions to align placement and advisory strategies for large or multinational clients
