Responsibilities
Owning core financial accounting and internal reporting
Managing and gradually replacing external accounting providers
Supporting FP&A, budgeting, and variance analysis
Ensuring audit-ready financials and strong internal controls
Partnering with leadership on cash management, forecasting, and decisions
Improving systems, processes, and data quality as the platform scales
Qualification
Required
~5–7+ years of experience in accounting / finance roles
CPA strongly preferred
Background that includes audit experience (Big 4 or similar) plus time in a corporate environment
Comfortable working with imperfect data and evolving systems
High standards, strong judgment, and a bias toward ownership
Not a strict 9–5 mindset — but also not public-accounting hours
Preferred
Energy experience is helpful but not required
