International Benefits Account Manager

Responsibilities

Fosters and manages overall relationship with clients ensuring retention of mid market book of business and high satisfaction
Collaborates with the International Benefits Consultant to identify and evaluate the client’s specific characteristics including global and local benefit needs, design, group demographics and employee census
Analyzes local market proposals for verification of benefits, premiums, and competitiveness
Reviews coverage contracts for accuracy of policy provisions
Prepares client presentations and other communication materials
Communicates via email, phone, and video with insurance brokers throughout the world
Composes routine correspondence for US corporate and local country client contacts
Handles general administrative duties including but not limited to compiling meeting materials, maintaining client files, scheduling client and internal meetings
Assists in creating ongoing administrative procedures, including coordinating employee enrollments and claim resolution/services
Facilitates collection of premium and fees, reconciliation and resolution of any outstanding balances
Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information)
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in International Benefits required, specifically core benefits: medical, dental, vision, risk (life, disability, AD&D etc.) and retirement/pension benefits
Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
Four (4) or more years of related work experience, preferably account management or project management
Valid Employee Benefits insurance broker
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills
Strong problem solving and time management skills
Ability to use prudent judgment and discretion in handling confidential client information
Ability and motivation to work independently
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and to foster teamwork
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred

Fluent in foreign languages a plus
